~TUSAL~ 1/30/14

Below is my new Ort jar. The one I started with was beautifully painted but you couldn't clearly see my orts. So this new clear one solves that problem. I have had a good variety of threads this month with blues, greens, pinks, and golds. I look forward to what next month brings.

What I did with my 2013 ORTs

I got an unexpected surprise today. The university where I teach closed today due to the very low temperatures (-24 with windchill) and blizzard conditions in certain parts of our county and the surrounding counties. However, I was still able to do some of my work from home in the comfort of my bathrobe. Course development, emails, meeting with students via Skype,  etc are actually quite easily done in the peace and quiet (our kids are grown) of our home. I am now taking a break. I was fortunate to read a post which directed me to JoAnn's to get a clear ornament to put my ORTs in. Here are my 2013 ORTs in a bell shaped ornament. As soon as I filled it I hung it on our tree.

The Totally Useless Stitch A Long 2014 or TUSAL

I'm participating in the 2014 TUSAL because I collect my ORTS as a reflection of my stitching journey and this is a way to document it as well. So what is this all about you might ask.
