I started this ornament last year and had completed only the trunk and three of the Rhodes Hearts on the bottom. I like small projects like this one for their portability as well as to learn new stitches and work with new fibers. I learned four new stitches on this piece: the wild goose chase, the double herringbone, the frame stitch, and the cross corner cushion stitch. I also worked with DMC light effects for the first time. This ornament was designed by Charlotte's Web Designs and was published in the 2009 JCS Ornament edition.
