Happy New Year

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Please take the time to watch the video. It clearly expresses my wishes for the new year and for all of you. The photography is beautiful as is the rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

I have been fortunate enough to have a peaceful week of vacation. I have spent time reflecting on last years accomplishments and areas where I want to improve. I have set stitching and non-stitching goals for the year, did some stitching and planning how I want to spend my time in 2012.

Number one is spending time with family. I also want to stitch more, excel at work, and do well with my volunteer commitments. There often does not seem to be enough time to accomplish all I would like but I intend to attack my goals with energy and commitment. I hope to live each day as if it were my last and give everything I can each and everyday.

As for stitching if you are interested in stitching themes you can find a set of 2012 themes laid out on  Heather's Theme-licious 2012.  The theme for for this month is  Jardin January.

The holidays were a little stressful...let's relax in a nice garden. Work on any piece with flowers or gardens.

While I will not let the themes dictate my stitching plans it's nice to see if I can accommodate them into my stitching life. That said, so far today I worked today on The Buzzzz. As you can see it has to do with Bees and therefore qualifies as being associated with gardens and flowers. I hope to work on this this month until I finish it. I have about 10 more hours of work to complete it.

I will also be working on step one of my master craftsman project which is of flowers. That will be my new start for January. If I get these two done before the end of the month I could work on the Delft Tulip Scissor Fob or Visual Elements Earth, or  Gardens of Babylon which are in my WIP pile.

That bee skip is going to be adorable!

I don't think you have to publish for th world to read your rear and future aspirations. All that matters is just taking a little time to think about it!

Hopefully our paths will cross this year! It's been too long!
